# 4.1 Chain Choice: Solana

RH is deployed on Solana to support a smooth, low-friction experience for recurring on-chain actions. The protocol’s core flows—locking RH, evaluating tier eligibility at snapshot checkpoints, and distributing rewards by program rules—benefit from fast confirmations and predictable transaction costs.

**Solana** is selected based on the following considerations:

* **Cost efficiency:** Low transaction costs reduce participation friction across frequent membership actions.
* **User experience:** Fast finality supports responsive locking, claiming, and program interactions.
* **Ecosystem adoption:** Broad wallet and infrastructure support improves onboarding and accessibility.
* **Operational practicality:** Mature tooling and monitoring enable disciplined deployments and incident response.

This chain choice is a product and operations decision aimed at minimizing friction for users while maintaining clear, verifiable on-chain records for RH’s membership and rewards programs.
